It is important to us that our customer’s have a defined process, this is one of the way’s we set ourselves a part from the competition. Our process is defined below into 5 main steps.
Customers can contact us through the website by filling out the form on the ‘Contact Us’ page OR call (518) 275-2725. Within 24 hrs of your inquiry, a Landmark representative will call you to schedule an initial meeting with you at your home or the customer’s desired location.
In the first meeting we will discuss the type, scope, budget and preliminary design details of your project. Design features will include plants and materials (stone, pavers, etc) that you would like to use. From this, we will be able to define the time needed to build a proposal for you. The representative will schedule you for the second meeting to present this proposal. The proposal will consist of the free estimate for the project and potentially a drawing if the customer chooses to add this feature on to the proposal.
There are two types of drawings available at different price points; a hand drawing or a CAD drawing (pricing varies depending on the project). If you choose to add this feature on, a quote will be given to the customer during the first meeting.
If the customer decides to book the project with Landmark, the cost of the drawing will go towards the payment of the project.
In the second meeting, a representative will go over the proposal that Landmark has created for you. The cost of the project as well as the overall design will be presented to you. This meeting will allow for any adjustments to be made to the design, scope, or cost of the project (material and plant changes).
If you are satisfied with the proposal, we will give you the next number in line of projects already booked. We will also give you a preliminary start date on the calendar.
If adjustments need to be made to the proposal they can be done in this meeting or a third meeting can be scheduled if the size of the changes will require significant time to make the adjustments.
Booking your Project
When you are ready to officially book your project, a 10% refundable deposit will be required to hold that time in our calendar. You will also sign a contract that will define the agreed upon proposal and highlight our warranties.
We strive to have our projects run on schedule but sometimes weather and/or other unforeseen obstacles arise. Two weeks before your project is scheduled to begin, Landmark will call you to either confirm the start date or discuss a new start date if for some reason we will not be able to make it when we initially thought.
The day of project completion, a Landmark representative will do a final walk through of the project. We will also discuss any maintenance regimen’s that will be required to keep your new space looking its best for years to come.
